Following the retirement of Rev. Dr. James D. Peters, Jr. as pastor of New Hope Baptist Church on December 31, 2006, the chairmain of the Deacon Board, Raymond A. Groves, Jr., with the support of the members of the Deacon Board, is in charge of the operations of the church.

The Pulpit Search Committee is pleased to inform you that, by vote of the congregation on December 11, 2007, the Rev. Dr. Ambrose Carroll was elected to serve as the 9th Senior Pastor of New Hope Baptist Church. Rev. Carroll will begin his duties as Pastor-Elect on January 6, 2008.
